WHAT IS A TITHE?

A tithe (which literally means “tenth”) is defined as the first 10% of a person’s gross income that is to be brought back to God by giving it to the local church. (Proverbs 3:9-10,Deuteronomy 14:23).The term “offering” refers to anything above and beyond the first 10%.

GENEROSITY IS OUR PRIVILEGE

We give with open hands. We believe that we should give cheerfully, regularly, and sacrificially. We have been given much by He who richly provides and it is a privilege to honor him with our generosity. Generosity is our privilege.

STEWARDSHIP

The ministry of The Gathering Church is funded by God’s provision through the tithes and offerings of the Gathering community. We work very hard to ensure we are properly managing the financial resources that God has granted us. We honor God’s provision by seeking wise stewardship, pursuing ethical business practices, and transparent accountability so that the financial integrity of The Gathering is above reproach. We pursue this goal through a system of internal controls over financial reporting, budgeting and spending.
