No Teams this week

PROJECT PROGRESS MADE:

JOSH MIMKEN: Josh is a new homeowner we are working with in Barnardsville. Josh is a single dad of four who owns a beautiful farmhouse that was devastated by Helene. He has been working very hard with several helpers over the months since Helene and is slowly making progress on his home. This week Robert went to help run some electrical with Josh and get a scope of the work still to be done for Josh. Through our partnership with Fearless Works we are able to offer Josh building supplies at cost for any need he may have. We also plan to have future teams come and help Josh continue his rebuild! If you would like to bring a team to help Josh email us! We would love to host you.

OVERTURF HOME: Robert was able to make progress on the final few tasks at Joy Overturf’s home! He installed the door to the mechanical room and installed toe kicks to the kitchen cabinetry. There is only one small task left at Joy’s home to do and then her home will officially be complete. Joy and her daughter Maddie are loving being back in their home after several months of staying with family. They have plans for adding some fun paint colors to their rooms and kitchen. Maddie and Joy are thriving members of our Gathering Church and it feels good to be able to play a part in helping one of our very own get back home after Helene.

ROBERT’S JOB TRANSITION: It was announced this week that Robert’s job at the Gathering will officially transition from Worship and Production pastor to an Outreach Pastor role. This will allow him to focus full-time on the Helene relief work and expand even further the work he has been heading up the last several months. This decision was guided by much prayer and insight from our pastoral and elder team at the Gathering Church and we are all excited for this new season of ministry!
