NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS: 10

TEAMS WHO CAME AND WHERE FROM:
Kevin Vandervort and Team from PENNSYLVANIA

PROJECT PROGRESS MADE:

APRIL KUMMERLE:  It was such a God-story this week regarding the work at April’s house. We didn’t have any teams coming to work and that was a bummer, but the further we’ve gotten away from the hurricane date, the lower the volunteer numbers have been. It just seems to be the nature of things. All to say- Robert get’s a call beginning of the week from a soon to be friend named Kevin. He had brought a team down to serve from Pennsylvania and was also delivering to Robert a pressure washer April’s dad had taken home to fix after his second mission trip to WNC. It turned out that the organization Kevin originally came to work with didn’t have work for his team. This turned out to be a bigger blessing than we could ever orchestrate, because it meant that Kevin and his team could come continue work at the Kummerle home. Best of all though, after two days of painting and caulking at the house Kevin asks Robert about the deck… did we have someone to build it etc. Wouldn’t you know that Kevin is a VERY skilled carpenter and volunteered to spearhead the building of the deck at the Kummerle home. They spent the rest of the week hard at work and finished all but the railing and stairs! Isn’t God so good?! In all His planning, he had orchestrated the perfect team to come help us, all the while neither Kevin or Robert knowing that work would be done! God knew! He truly is the master planner.

RELIEF ADVISORY BOARD AT THE GATHERING CHURCH: Pastor John Mark recently assembled an advisory board to support Robert and the rebuild efforts of the Gathering. The board consists of James Lehman, Paul Lubeck and Mark McClear all men who are skilled in certain areas to help support. This board will aid in things like, vetting future homes, tracking financial costs of each project and other important tasks. They had their first meeting with Robert this week and are sure to be a great blessing to our efforts.
